Pick a Friend! My daughter likes this quote so much she bought a Nook cover with it's original verbage. The premise in this title is in realizing that behind what we read is an actual person - and it's good to choose carefully +++what enters our hearts, souls and minds.

Ivan Bates website?
I've been typing in "Ivan Bates" to search for his personal website. Since he has a lot of work out there, all I come up with are booksellers with something he's illustrated. Does anyone have tips for finding a personal site?
Hi, Jennifer, Good question! I snooped around and came up as empty-handed as you did. But I'm so stubborn, I'll keep trying. Not everyone has a personal website; some writers let their publishers do a profile page and call it good.
Hi, Jennifer, My colleague did a more thorough search than I and came up empty-handed, too. She did learn that he lives in England. And, though it doesn't have Ivan Bates, here is a really great sources of children's authors/illustrators' pages: http://www.ucalgary.ca/~dkBrown/authors.html
