A Japanese Twist for Christmas

This week I'll be picking up this photo at Harolds and a twin boxspring for our bunk beds.  Why?  Sae (prounounced "Si" like "Hi") and her father Hiroshi are coming after Christmas for a visit.  I'm setting up Andrew's bunk down in the craft room (and trying to make it look like a bedroom!)

We received our Christmas letter from them with the note that although Sae has grown taller, her personality hasn't changed at all.  Andrew keeps reminding us of that comment and how he's glad she hasn't changed.  It makes me reflex on how an outgoing, happy countenance is an amazing presence to have.

As Christians, we have much to be grateful for, and yet we complain sometimes.  To be human is to be flawed.  Yet, we also have this gift of God's love, the ability to pray and seek, and see answers.  Our greatest need was and is forgiveness, and we have a Saving Father. If you have some extra prayer time this month, you can seek God for our international hospitality and His love to embody every second!  How's your Christmas planning going? Anything I can being praying for in your life?  Blessings, Jennifer

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”” John 8:12

Jennifer, our youngest (41 years old) son is having surgery on Wednesday, 12/12 for a bowel resection as a result of diverticulitis. Betty is flying to Ohio this coming Sunday to be with him.

Any prayers for his peace and healing and her travel will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

I'm glad Betty's going to be there. Is he on a gluten-free diet?
